What an amazing collection of passion and pain. What you have compiled here is why I both read and write poetry – except that what I just read is and what I write is not.
Thanks for visiting my blogs! I’ve enjoyed reading your poems here and will come back and read more. Congratulations for getting this collection published. So many publishers these days are interested in the bland and fashionable, its great to see some passionate vivid poetry being published in collection format!
The Swallow Project was self-published so I owe all the glory to my own hard work and determination to make this collection a reality. For me, it was about publishing something I was proud of, not what some person behind a desk feels is Pulitzer Prize, or even Pushcart Prize, worthy. I am not a sales quota. I’m a writer. It’s up to us as writers to mandate the definition of success and strive for it. Otherwise, we will always find ourselves sadly disappointed. I get to pick up my book and read it knowing that people around the country are picking it up at the same time, and enjoying, critiquing or abhorring the work I’ve done. It’s a wonderful feeling.
Thank you Crafty, gel and Rethabile for stopping by and taking the time to read from The Swallow Project. I’m in good company.

What I have read of yours is wonderful. But thank you. The book is doing well. It is definitely my baby.
