Poetry Thursday: Line Poem

Below is the original poem from which the line “There is certan holiness in repetition” was used for this week’s Poetry Thursday challenge.

I also wanted to pay homage to the finished poems produced with this line. I think they’re wonderful poems and I’m honored these poets have transformed this line into such great pieces.

Emily @ Third Story
Dennis
Mad Endeavor
IrishNutt
Plodding Taurus
Pauline @ Prophet’s Words

My apologies if I missed anyone! Check out these wonderful poets, and also Poetry Thursday (that little colorful link over there on the side) if you haven’t already.

And now to the poem:

A Pantoum for your ass

There is certain holiness in repetition
sanctified blessings in the trinity of your name
left feeling vacant under the moon
legs askew, clit perking up to the wind

sanctified blessings in the trinity of your name
attempt to gnaw away the gravity of the world
legs askew, clit perking up to the wind
razor beaming through cantankerous fidelity

attempt to gnaw away the gravity of the world
eating dead lilies and the scent of a lovers breath
razor beaming through cantankerous fidelity
withdrawing moans from former silent pleasure

eating dead lilies and the scent of a lovers breath
left feeling vacant under the moon
withdrawing moans from former silent pleasure
There is certain holiness in repetition
